SERVICES

20170620_204004.png

Like what the photo mentions, we only use Music Nomad Care products in our workshop! We get all our stuff from distributor City Music, so if you like the results that we produce, you can buy smaller, personal sized polishes and such to maintain your instruments in the comfort of your own home and replicate our results (though we would still recommend you sending in your instruments if you don't know what to do, or if you're unsure which solution to use on which finish).

Fun Fact: Did you know that Tekhnikal Diffikulties was talent scouted online and was the first local Singaporean tech to be a listed Music Nomad Care tech?

Like any man-made products, instruments will succumb to wear and tear, especially the extremely delicate electronics. Fortunately, spare parts (both original and OEM) are in abundance in our sunny Singapore, so parts availability is not an issue. Want something unique? You can also opt to order through us some wacky never-before-seen bridges/machine heads/pickguards etc. via The Great Interweb!

PLAYABILITY PROBLEMS

Wood reacts to weather. Here in humid Singapore, we tend to dehumidify our instruments, whilst our friends on the other side of the globe have to humidify their instruments because of their dry conditions. Some instruments, more often than not, despite our best efforts, will still succumb to the powers that be; necks will warp. A warped neck is usually the main factor behind raised actions and inability to play as smooth as before. That's where we come in and save your necks (albeit in a figure of speech manner)!

Usually, it's not just the necks. Raised saddles, new (different) string gauges, nuts not properly filed. At Tekhnikal Diffikulties, we do the full monty (and use our skills and experience) to give you the most appropriate action you need, be it for shredding, slapping, or just for strumming by the campfire.

ELECTRONICS PROBLEMS

Electronics - what electric instruments can't live without, but are the ones that are most prone to wear and tear. Kinda like being in love, huh? Wood may react to weather, but electronics react to almost anything. Sweaty palms? Just a matter of time. Leaving it idle? Also just a matter of time. It's like these pots and switches have a death wish or something. But, since you're reading this, we're pretty sure you're probably thinking, "Meh, these guys can handle stuff like this". And we don't just put in new parts and say "Here you go". YOU get to choose what kind of wiring schematic you want (additional fees applies).

7-sound Strat? You got it, Van Halen.

4-way Tele switch? You'll be twanging that Tele till the cows come home!

50s Les Paul? The late Les Paul approves!

Kill switch? Who'd you reckon is the better kill switch user; Tom Morello or Buckethead? Or YOU?!

CLEANING/POLISHING/WAXING

So you probably can get by with your current set-up, or maybe you've sent it to some other tech (sad face). But you suddenly remembered about that awesome gig you'll be playing this weekend, and your girlfriend will be there to support you and she has even invited her parents and her best friend! You've got your guitar ready, but it's lacking the shine it needs to blind people's eyes from all the stage lighting. Fret not (great, another guitar pun). We'll polish, wax and buff your instrument in our usual badass way, you'll be hard-pressed to think your guitar just came out of the factory! General clean up and polishing starts from S$15 onwards!
